Just in case you missed my recent Instagram post, I couldn’t resist sending you this gorgeous photo from a delicious meal I had at the weekend.

Anchovies – are you a lover or a hater ? This salty little fish may seem more of a sodium bomb to your tastebuds than a health food but anchovies come packed with omega-3 fatty acids which are thought to offer protection against everything from heart disease to depression – just what the doctor ordered at this time of the year.

I buy mine from the deli counter at the supermarket and they usually come in a simple marinade or just plain olive oil. And, as they are great eaten with very little done to them, you could say they are a super quick and easy snack. I also smash them on warm toast with avocado for a speedy supper.
