Banana & Nut Butter Smoothie

Yields1 Serving
Ingredients
 1 banana, cut into three pieces and frozen
 200ml of milk - I like Rude Health Hazelnut Milk as it is naturally sweet !
 1-2 tbspns nut butter - I like peanut or almond butter
 1 large handful of spinach
 1 tbsp hemp powder or chia seeds - optional
 1/2 tbsp cacao powder - optional

Place all the ingredients in the blender and blitz until smooth.

A little bit more ....

I love this recipe as it is a great way of using up the tail ends of bananas that get left around the house by my kids. I just pop any chunks of bananas in a freezer bag to store for using in smoothies. They add a creaminess but be aware that they make blending very noisy !!

N.B. There are a wide variety nut and plant-based milks readily available to buy at most supermarkets nowadays. Coconut, hazelnut, almond, oat, hemp seed and more to choose from.
