Beetroot, Strawberry and Ginger Zinger

Ingredients
 1 medium sized fresh beetroot, washed and roughly peeled
 1 big handful of spinach
 2-3cm chunk of fresh ginger
 2 fresh fat turmeric roots
 2 carrots, organic if possible (if not then peel them)
 2 large handfuls of frozen strawberries
 220 ml almond milk (or which ever milk you have to hand)
Optional
 1 turmeric zinger shot (the one I love is by James White but any you fancy will do)

Blend the beetroot, carrots, ginger and turmeric first on high until everything is well chopped up.

Then add the spinach, turmeric zinger shot and milk and blend again, scraping down the sides as necessary.

Lastly throw in two generous handfuls of frozen strawberries and blend again (it will be noisy but hang on in there!).

A little bit more.....

You should end up with a lightly frozen smoothie that you can drink or eat with a spoon depending on how much milk you add.

This is a glass of goodness. Full of detoxifying goodies, a real pick me up after a full on weekend or when you have been overdoing things !
