As a womens wellness brand we feel passionately about bringing you products and services that will enhance your wellbeing as a woman on her journey through midlife and beyond. Our sole purpose is to lift up your spirits, support you on your wellbeing journey and to make health, wellness and skincare as simple, accessible and practical as possible.
Click on the boxes below to learn more about us and what we feel so strongly about doing in our business. We hope these FAQ’s will answer some of your questions and allow you to get to know us better.
We use glass containers where possible for our products in order to protect the quality as well as the natural benefits contained in the ingredients we use. Amber glass protects our ingredients from the deteriorating effects of sunlight. All our glass packaging can be upcycled into jewellery storage pots, vases, vessels for homemade candles and for storing precious items in your home. We often reuse our jars for storing other household liquids and creams rather than leaving them in the plastic that they were brought in and the smaller jars and bottles are ideal for travelling.
We ask that you, our lovely customers help to upcycle or reuse the glass containers that your goodness goodies come in or to recycle the glass jars and bottles.
As we are always keen to improve our sustainability as well as our impact on the environment, if you have any eco-friendly packaging ideas which you would like to share with us do get in touch at hello@webofgoodness.com. We always love to hear and learn from our customers as you are at the heart of everything that we do.
All packaging received into the business is reused for posting out your orders where ever possible. We believe that the less layers of packaging we use the better, that is why we never use external layers of packaging for our skincare. This means that our parcels may not be the prettiest you have ever received and please accept our apologise if your package arrives in a repurposed box or packaging that does not look brand spanking new but we feel every small way we can recycle or upcycle can make a difference. This is just another way we are trying to reduce our waste output.
We select the smallest postage size box we can send your orders out in, to avoid unnecessary packaging where we can. We also use 100% recyclable packing tape which is fully biodegradable, compostable and recyclable with the box it is attached too.
We ask that you help us by reusing, recycling or composting our packaging where ever you can. And we happily offer our local customers the option to pick up direct from us – by arrangement !
We have never and will never test on animals; our entire collection is undergoing a rigorous accreditation that looks at the whole chain from product development through to the end product – your Goodness Goodie.
We are committed to continually growing our passion for ethical and sustainable skincare at Goodness By Sophie and are also pursuing a vegetarian and vegan status on our entire product range too. All our products are made using vegetarian ingredients and nearly all of our products are vegan-friendly (with the small exception of a tiny % of natural organic beeswax used in our skin balms and lip conditioners). As a small artisan business these accreditations are a massive undertaking for us but we will continue to work towards these certificates and updated you as soon as we gain approval.
Our products always comply with the European cosmetic regulations and have been safety tested by Cosmetic Safety Assessments Limited.
We feel passionately about “paying it forward”, this is one of the main pillars of our business and we like to give pack to our community where ever we can. We have been donating jars of our Skin Balms to medical staff and front line workers all over England from Liverpool to London as well as our local hospitals here in East Anglia and we continue to donate balms with every purchase you make. So the more you buy the more we are able to gift away.
We have another “pay it forward” project in the pipeline too so watch this space !
Absolutely. Every step of every batch of our natural skincare is made by hand in our Suffolk workshop. This starts right at the beginning from formulating, trials, preparing, blending, pouring, labelling all our goodness goodies by hand so we have them ready to send out to you lovely customers in our recyclable and reusable packaging.
AND we are very proud to be a British made brand.
We’re passionate about helping you live your most natural life possible and this includes making skincare choices that are better for your skin and for our planet. You can read many articles about this on our Wellness Journal by signing up to the Wellness Collaborative here.
